In January 20017 Luis and his team came to install new drywall, texture, paint, and finally install tile for my tub/shower and floor. The tile I choose for the tub area had a pattern and Neilson matched everything beautifully and did a superb job of creating the wall niche. He took his time, made several suggestions on tile layout and patiently answered all of my questions. Leo put in new drywall and textured to match the existing. Then he painted and the end result was flawless. The whole process was very pleasant from start to finish as the communication and attention to detail

The Owner came to give me an estimate and look over the home. I was most pleased with Nelson who came to perform the work. We wanted something different and chose to acquire our own tile. They were very helpful in telling us what would work and what would not work. what would wear well, what would not. Nelson took care & also would dryfit some patterns to see which I would like. I contacted Luis about redoing my bathroom; removing my tub and the wall that separated the tub from the shower and make it a walk in shower. I can’t say enough about Luis and his team. Neilson worked beautifully, patient with my questions and always gave me other suggestions. Neilson’s attention to detail is excellent and he was a pleasure to have in my home. He does excellent work and cleaned up every night before leaving. Leo repaired my ceiling where the wall was removed and he did an excellent job as well. When Luis arrived to estimate my job I immediately felt comfortable with our decision to call this company. Luis oozes professionalism and reliability, and his crew brings it when they are on the job. The tile work is beautiful, it is the work of artisans working with skill. Luis was very helpful in scheduling tradesman to complete other types of jobs for our bathroom renovation and their work is just as skillful and pretty. We contracted our own home in the late 1990's and started a complete remodel in 2020; thus, we have quite a bit of experience in dealing with various contractors. When I say Luis is one of the very best of the best, that’s based on experience with dozens of contractors in every phase of construction of a home. Luis does what he says he will do and more, is very punctual, extremely professional, and we found him to be very trustworthy having him in our home. He tiled 3 bathrooms, a Master shower (using the Wedi waterproofing system), Master soaker tub surround & backsplash, laundry room, kitchen floor & backsplash, and breakfast room in our home. In short, he did an outstanding job!!! He was here 2 full weeks, every day, working diligently by himself with the exception of breaking out the old tile in our kitchen/laundry breakfast areas when he had a helper, which was nice to have HIM doing all of the work for quality control and also minimizing the number of people in / out during the early COVID days. His attention to detail is like very few! He was willing to do little things that make a big difference in the quality of end result like mitering outside corners in a way to minimize future chipping, laying FULL tiles to minimize grout joints in wet areas like the shower, ensuring the walls were plumb and square before laying tile where it would be visible if not square & plumb, etc; basically, going the extra mile instead of cutting corners to save time. He had some good ideas, advice & suggestions when we were selecting our tile and throughout construction, and he truly cares about the quality of work he’s doing and your happiness with his work upon completion - again, unlike many contractors who just want to get in / get out / get paid as quickly as they can. BTW, he's also a "certified" installer of multiple tile "systems" and has taught MANY others how to install tile correctly - there's a difference in "installing tile" and "installing tile correctly".
I am also VERY guarded with any contractor or tradesman that comes into our home, and I can say that I trusted Luis completely. He also took extra precaution during the early COVID outset, went on hold from doing any work for a period of time, then when he showed up to work, he came wearing a mask, foot covers on his shoes, and was very respectful of our home and us - again, Extremely professional! I really can’t say enough good things about Luis and the pleasure it was doing business with him.
Remember the old saying "You get what you pay for" - that applies to Luis! I’m so glad that we hired him to get the quality results that we got since we plan on living in the house for another 20+ years - his personality and professionalism was an added bonus.
In short: If we ever have tile installation or repair needs in the future, Luis will be our first call!!!

After more than one bad contractor experience, I'm always hesitant to start a new project and engage with a new contractor. Basically, I don't trust anyone. Someone I respect commented on "Next Door" that Luis was the "best in the business," so I decided to reach out to him thinking there would be a catch - because there is always a catch. From the first phone call to the end of the project, Luis was incredibly responsive. He was very thorough with his explanations while discussing my hall bath remodel, conveying pricing, understanding what I wanted and then providing progress updates during the 4-days he was at my house. He was thoughtful and meticulous in his approach to the tile work, often giving me several options to think about. He and his colleague kept my house and the work area as clean as possible, taking extra time each day to set up drop cloths and prep the work area. He stayed on schedule, did every single thing he said he would do and there were no surprises, no delays, just really HIGH QUALITY work. Best of all, Luis really was a pleasant, enjoyable guy. I just genuinely liked him and felt comfortable with him in my home. I have already referred him to a friend and plan to call him when I am ready to remodel my master bedroom.

Luis converted a badly designed upstairs en-suirte bathroom with a stained tub (no shower), stained granite counter top on the vanity and cracked floor tiles into a beautiful modern bathroom with walk in glass shower, beautiful double sink vanity and new tile. Luis worked with us to design our ideal bathroom layout and then he created it for us. His price was very reasonable. Wish I could post before and after pictures to show the great transformation. This project took him 1 week from beginning to end.
Luis and his team were diligent about ensuring no damage was created on the hardwood floors in the house as they made their way into the house. They covered the hardwood floors downstairs and upstairs daily. He gutted the bathroom room down to the studs removing the sheet rock from the walls and the tile from the floor. He had the plumber rerouted the plumbing, he installed, he installed water resistant boards on shower wall area, waterproofed the shower floor and the entire floor for the bathroom and then laid out a beautiful tile design.
So glad we found him - he was actually recommended by our plumber. I would use him again for project like this.
I have had two bathrooms done by Master Tilesetter. Both times they have done a great job! Excellent workmanship efficient and trustworthy. I have used Luis as both a tile setter and a project manager. He gets the job done!

Luis and his crew did an excellent job of replacing our scraped hardwood floor with large format (24” x 48”) porcelain tile. They were meticulous in keeping the household dust free during the wood floor removal, as well as placing floor covers on the house walkways they used to bring in and carry out materials. Luis patiently integrated our ideas into the job, described each step of the removal and installation as it occurred, and clearly explained how he follows the recommended installation process that is unique to such large rectified tiles. The finished installation was just what we wanted – large tiles barely interrupted by tiny grout lines. Our floor is a true tribute to Luis as the Master Tile Setter.

Luis Bautista installed a lovely travertine stone floor in my master bathroom and at a later date, a small strip of the same flooring in front of a picture window where some houseplants reside. They were small projects but he took great care with both and did excellent work. He always answers his calls and always shows up punctually when he says he will, and goes above and beyond what is expected of him. Two thumbs up!

We are new to Dallas (16 mos). We decided to tile our front porch and wanted a professional to perform the job. My son-law-suggested Master Tilesetter since they had used them for their home. Mr. Bautista performed the job in less than 2 days (small 11' x 4.5' area). His work is very professional, clean, and with great detail. Mr. Bautista provided all the options to consider how the tile pattern could be installed. We knew what we wanted but Luis presented things we had not considered which made all the difference. The old plain cement porch is now transformed into a beautiful tile pattern which dresses up the entrance beautifully. We highly recommend Luis for your next remodel job.

I highly recommend Luis and Master Tile Setter – I have now used them twice.
This second time, we asked him to remove our dated green marble fireplace surround and replace it with Travertine. I contacted Luis, who responded quickly. I sent him the specs and a photo, he came back with a quote that was fair. He told me exactly how much tile to purchase beforehand so we had enough without waste. He arrived on time, carefully hung sheeting and laid drop cloths so the dust would be contained, consulted me on every decision before moving forward, and did a beautiful job with the tile work. One thing I really like is that Luis will make recommendations if you ask, but won’t push. Another thing – he lays out the pattern so you can see it before moving forward. When the job was done to our liking, he cleaned up meticulously and gave us easy-to-understand instructions on how to seal the stone. He offered to come do it but told us it would be cheaper and easier if we did it ourselves (how great is that?!). I am so very impressed and will use him again.

Another Satisfied Customer! In July 2022, Mr. Luis Bautisa replaced the tile in our guest, bathroom shower and he also replaced the flooring in the bathroom, kitchen, den and entry ways. It was a big job requiring removal of the old ceramic tiles and replacing them with porcelain tiles. Before the work began, Luis offered helpful suggestions on selecting, grouting and laying out of the tiles. All phases of the work were professionally accomplished with no delays. We were very pleased with the quality of Luis' work.

Luis and Richard remodeled our shower and bathroom floor. There was a lot of work to be done, but they were very careful to cover surrounding areas and protect them. Luis is not only an experienced craftsman he also has an eye for detail and design so his suggestions were very helpful. Also, his pricing was fair and reasonable. Luis designed a new bathtub skirt on my tub after It had been broken when a plumber changed the hardware. He did an amazing job of designing, building and tiling the skirt. It’s much more beautiful than before. Luis is extremely skilled and gifted in his trade and a man of integrity. He communicated well throughout the job, prompt in his visits and was fairly priced. I’m so thankful I discovered him. I recommend him without reservation.
